Discover the Heart of the Outback, Just a Flight Away

We wear our lightweight Marengo 1/4 Zip Neck Seawool Fleece tops EVERYWHERE. They are super warm underneath a ski jacket but they are also excellent to travel in and don’t easily stink. We travelled from freezing cold Sydney airport at four in the morning to tropical Fiji, squished them up against the window for a snooze, sat on them, sweated in them and they were totally fine, unlike other sweater tops and jumpers we usually travel in. Game changer materials.

Boating Days

We wore our Seawool fleece out on the ocean all day after scuba diving and surfing, putting it straight on after getting out of the water as we didn’t have towels. Our wet hair dripped on the material but the fleece was very absorbent and didn’t make the skin uncomfortable like most fleeces. Our wrist areas and bottom of the jacket areas became very wet, but we simply wrung out the fabric and it felt dry to the touch fairly quickly. The main aspects were comfort and ability to not soak through uncomfortably.

Travel tips

On travel days it is an easy top to keep out the cold by zipping the neck all the way up, the wind doesn’t whistle through the fabric. I accidentally got some bright yellow curry on my sleeve during my flight and it rinsed out quickly by applying some soap and giving it a mini scrub and wringing out the water. It wasn’t uncomfortable and it’s great to scrunch into a bag or backpack when the climates change and it won’t be creased when you need it next.

These lightweight fleeces are made from Sea wool (marine energy) from Oyster shells and are super soft.
